About this campaign
Our household currently includes myself, my husband, our 10 year old daughter with special needs, our 9 year old Beagle mix and our newest edition our 7 month old Boston terrier,Bella. Bella was purchased as a companion for our autistic daughter. We have had her since December 2020 and she has completed our family.
Our Bella girl loves to be by her people. She currently sleeps in her crate at night while she is still training to be the best puppy she can be but also due to her issue we need to limit her activity level and her Zoomies. She is very energetic, loves to play catch and is very smart with learning new skills but we have to crate her if she is too active because her back legs start to give out.
During covid both my husband and i have lost our jobs and have been unemployed since. We have been applying to jobs and have been unsuccessful in finding something. We want our Baby to feel better and be able to do normal puppy things again.
We had noticed that our Bella girl started having weakness in her back legs and would drag and hop holding her leg in the air. We took her to our current vet (Glenolden Animal Hospital in Glenolden,Pa) and she was diagnosed with Bilateral Patellar Luxation. She is requiring surgery on both back legs.
She loves going on walks outside and she always can make you laugh because she loves the grass. She will go from lawn to lawn and army crawl on the grass and then stretch out and lay down and nibble on the grass and this will continue up our entire street. She loves to be held like a baby and will lay on your lap and watch TV.
