Bella is a 11-year-old Bichon Poodle in Southport, NC, who needs $2,000 for TPLO/MPL.

I got Bella when she was 8 weeks old. Her adventures began with 3 plane trips from Iowa to Miami where I picked her up. Then she drove 3 hours to the Florida Keys. After that she took a dinghy ride to her new home a Sailboat! We lived on it until a Cat 4Hurricane in 2017 sunk our boat rendering us homeless. We’ve had so many adventures together. She helped me thru Chemo, now I need to help her out

It’s just her & I. She’s my life. I went thru a form of Chemo when she was a puppy. She kept me alive, when I was so sick.. we’ve been thru a major Hurricane together. She has sailed to Bahamas with me, she’s flown to West coast 3 times. We have experienced so many adventures together. Now she needs my help.

She has so much personality! She loves people. She loves to run on beach, swim & fish. She makes me smile every minute of the day! For 11& 1/2 yrs it’s been just her & I. We’ve been thru hardships & many good times together. I love her with all my heart! She’s my emotional support dog & we’re inseparable.

She has Cruciate Ligament disease of Lt leg. Extensive ligament & meniscus damage, requiring surgery. Her other knee unfortunately will also need surgery down the road . This has been a slow progression over a period of time. She went from a active dog to one who sometimes can’t walk at all. She requires a stroller for walks. She’s always in varying degrees of pain.

It’s been heartbreaking to have to consider finances when it comes to her well being. I’m 70, have been disabled since 2010 & live on a very limited income. She’s in pain & it hurts me deeply not to be able to afford her bills.
