Bella is a 4 month old Boston Terrier in Warren, RI, who needs $2,000 for PDA Heart Surgery.

Baby Bella is a rescue. She was born in TX and now lives in RI. The rescue group transported her to us. She has two human brothers who adore her. She is playful and loving. We were told by the rescue that she is purebred Boston but we think she has a little mix.

Immediately our vet realized something was wrong with Bella’s heart. A week later she was diagnosed with PDA- a congenital heart disease in dogs that occurs when a blood vessel doesn't close properly after birth. This allows too much blood to flow to the lungs, which can lead to fluid buildup and strain on the heart. She will only live for 1 year without surgery.

Bella loves to play and just a tiny puppy. She’s only 6lbs and needs heart strength to grow. We adore her playfulness and she’s doing great with potty training. She deserves to live a long life!

This is our second sick Boston Terrier. We lost our last pet a year ago to brain inflammation and seizures that could not be controlled.
We are just devastated that our new puppy is now also sick.
We are committed to her but need some assistance in covering costs.
