Bellatrix is a 3-year-old Peekapoo in Elizabethton, TN who needs $1,000 for hip surgery, for femoral head ostectomy.

Bella was given to our daughter, Rebekah, by her aunt and uncle. She has been an important part of our family for three years. She is named after one of Rebekah's favorite Harry Potter characters, Bellatrix Lestrange. Bella is NOTHING like her namesake. She does want to rule the roost, but that honor currently goes to her doxie brother. They do occasionally argue about this honor.

Bella sleeps with her momma, our daughter, Rebekah. They play together with Bella's stuffed hedgehog. Bella also likes to play tug of war and play in the creek behind our home. Bella is outgoing and happy, she always loves to snuggle and give kisses, even now, when she is in such great pain. Bella and Rebekah do everything together and Bella watches out the window for Rebekah when she's gone.

Since COVID-19 has closed down our business, and Bella's dad is disabled, we are having great difficulty finding the resources to help Bella. We are exploring all resources that we can find.

Bella has been hit by a car. She has a pelvic fracture which should heal on its own but she also has a dislocated hip. Her vet has already tried to manipulate the joint back into place but it didn't work. Bella needs surgery on her hip. She is in a great deal of pain and cannot walk on her own at this time.

Bella is a very friendly and loving doggie. Her fur above her eyes always flops over so that you can only see one eye. She looks at you like she is soo in love with you and loves to snuggle. Bella likes to play in the creek behind our home and our daughter Rebekah, who is Bella's momma is beside herself since this happened at this difficult time.
