About this campaign
Bellatrix Marie Pandora was rescued from a fighting ring. She was just 4 weeks old, very thin and small. We decided to call her Bellatrix (warrior woman) to give her strength, Marie because we wanted her to have something feminine and Pandora because she always surprise us with her behavior. She hates her name, always ignores it. She likes her nickname Beba. She was always healthy until now.
Beba likes to hunt. She hunts rodents only. She likes to be involved in everything we do. She also likes to play tug of war with my husband. She likes to eat from a spoon or fork, she ignores her plate all the time and wants to eat like us! My husband says that she is a human in a dog body and I agree!
She thinks herself a diva, and is very picky with her food. She loves McDonald's cheeseburgers the most. She knows who Tom Brady is and barks like crazy when he is on the t.v., and not a good friendly bark. She's very intuitive and knows when we're having a bad day and she'll do something to make us smile.
Recently she developed a tiny lump on her knee, and from one day to the next it grew big. We took her to the vet, and it was diagnosed as a sarcoma. That same day the tip opened up, and since then it has not heal. She needs surgery to remove it, and she is in constant pain. The vet that will help her is Hesham Elakbawy, Lincoln Ave Cat Hospital in Fair Lawn, NJ.
I'm currently the only one working, and my salary is not enough for all bills. I do need help to cover her surgery cost, and treatments. We need her, she is important for our mental and emotional health and happiness.
