Bellatrix showed up on one day as one of many local stray kittens. I was not much of a cat person then, but she quickly changed that with her fun personality. What started with her following me around asking for treats, slowly but surely evolved into a loving home companion. Meaning warrior in Latin, she is named after one of the brightest stars in the night sky, in the constellation Orion.

I took her to the vet after a few weeks of slowly losing her appetite to the point of barely eating a few treats. After an X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan they determined she had a clogged bile duct and enlarged gallbladder. She is in need of surgery that will likely require removal of the gallbladder or possible tumor.

As a former stray, she has slowly learned to get along with people but has always been a sweetheart with me. She loves to follow me around wherever I go inside the house and is quite chatty, meowing and chirping at every little thing.

I live on a modest salary and with over $6,000 in bills already, my resources are tapped. Including the various tests and hospitalization days already done we still need to have the surgery and potentially more hospitalization and treatment.
