Ben is a 12-year-old Hound mix in Hawthorne, NJ, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.

It's a miracle Ben survived for as long as he did. He was abandoned alongside a road with another dog. The pair ended up in a shelter.

The other dog was rescued, but with his unsightly tumor, no one adopted Ben. That's when A Pathway to Hope saved him.

"Ben was sorely neglected, then dumped when he needed help the most," Amy H. with the nonprofit group tells Waggle.

Now, the rescue needs your help to get Ben the medical attention he never received. He needs the tumor biopsied, bloodwork, and X-rays. This will help determine the medical plan for this sweet boy.

"Ben is the sweetest senior boy, who is happy, eating, and playful despite the horrific growth on his face," Amy says. "He is good with everyone. Dogs, cats, and kids. We are desperate to give Ben the chance at a life filled with love and comfort, for however long he may have. Ben deserves this."
