Bene is a 13 year old Russian White, Black and Tabby in New Braunfels, TX, who needs $2,000 for Ultrasound, X-rays, Labwork, Medication.

Our precious sweet girl Bene has had a rough life, her and Maida are bonded sisters and had a family for 12 whole years who gave her up as they left the country. She was placed with a horrible foster thru a rescue who wasn't vetted properly, & they overdosed her on insulin. She was starving & emaciated by the time we adopted her in Dec. 2022. She's been thriving with our family & very happy. :)

As of Monday (6-17), she started feeling lethargic and stopped eating and drinking. Given her weak immune system, we were concerned. We tried coaxing her with treats but took her to the vet on Wednesday (6-19). Blood work was normal except high neutrophils, and an x-ray showed a dark area in her lung. She's on Orbax antibiotics now. Despite some improvement, we're syringe feeding her.

She's the kindest furbaby ever, when we lost our Luna(I had her all 20 yrs- who turned 20yrs old in October '23), Bene was the one who licked her forehead & laid with her as we said goodbye. And she stayed with me for weeks as I was grieving. She gives TONS of biscuits & nose kisses she's incredibly smart, & she's filled our hearts up with so much love. We want her to have many more years with us.

I lost my job(layoff Jan. 2024). Any support would greatly help us, while we navigate what's going on. We are in a race with time to try and get her as much help as we can before she worsens.
