Benito came from a litter found in my neighbor’s backyard. Since they couldn’t care for 10 dogs, he was given to me. He’s full of love, very friendly with strangers, and loves being outside. I call him my “super pup” because he jumps off things and gets crazy zoomies. He’s obsessed with stuffed frogs and always carries them around.

This past Sunday (4/12), on a night walk with Benito, he found a hand warmer on the ground and chewed it. At first I thought it was a leaf, but I noticed black residue on his mouth. He has now ingested iron, which is causing a blockage in his system. He needs life-saving surgery to remove it and prevent further complications.

is a very loving dog who cares about everyone, no matter who they are. I got him for my younger brother so he could grow up with a companion, and even though I’m 20 years older, Benito has become like an extra sibling in our family.
