About this campaign

Though Lisa H. and her husband have moved around during their three years of marriage as a military family, one thing has always remained the same: Their love for their constant companion and family member, Benito.

"He has been with us from place to place," Lisa H. Benito's human mom tells Waggle. "Our Benito is like a child to us."

The couple just got transferred to California and received horrible news; Benito developed ulcers in his digestive system. "He always runs in the kitchen when it is dinner time. Lately, he has not been able to eat due to some very painful ulcers. It has been so devastating to us to see him suffer this way," Lisa says.

The veterinary team at Pawsh Place Veterinary Center and Boutique told Lisa the best course of action is to place a temporary feeding tube into Benito to take the stress off his digestive system and allow the ulcers heal-- after that happens, his prognosis is good!

But Benito's medical bill is something the young couple serving their country can't afford. They need help paying for their adopted cat's medical bill. "This has been totally out of the blue expense for us," Lisa adds. "We are brand new to the area and do not have many friends. COVID-19 has made it very tough to socialize, and he has been truly our constant companion. No words can express how much we appreciate any help you can lend!"
