About this campaign

Benji was adopted from the Oakland Animal Shelter around 3 months. He had two other siblings and was known to be a bit shy. After coming home, he grew out of his shell and is quite playful with his new sisters. Benji loves to eat. He will jump up and down the counters waiting for his food to be ready every day. After eating his share, he likes to find seconds from his sisters.

After an emergency xray reading, the doctors at Modern Animal discovered that he had an obstruction/foreign object in his intestine. The doctors had to give him a surgery on Halloween at Pets Referral because based on the xrays it was too deep to pull out endoscopically.

That Friday morning of Halloween, he was not racing to get his breakfast. In fact the plate was set down and he did not go to it. We carried him right in front and he sniffed it, only to walk away. I offered treats which he would also reject. This was not like him because he would paw at his siblings to ask for their treats. He is usually a hyperactive boy, but that morning he was also sluggish.

With rent and cost of living, my cats and I are already living on budget. I would to maintain their quality meals, treats, and toys, but this unexpected expense will make it that much more difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
