Benji is a sweet rescue who’s been my shadow and best friend for 7 amazing years. We live with my sister and her 12-year-old Pomeranian—his partner in crime. They share snacks, play tag around the house, and have full-on “conversations.” He’s my heart dog and my everyday joy.

Benji has been diagnosed with a large cancerous lung mass. Texas A&M’s oncology team recommends surgery to ease his breathing and improve his quality of life. Without it, his condition will likely worsen, leading to further decline in comfort and respiratory function.

Benji is sweet, loyal, and a little sassy—he’ll give you side-eye if you get near his food, but he’s terrified of mail being opened because he doesn't trust the mailman. He is full of personality and is the best cuddle buddy. He brings so much laughter and love to our home and is truly one of a kind.

I’m doing my best to balance college, work, bills, & caring for my family after the recent loss of my grandfather. Benji’s cancer diagnosis has been emotionally & financially overwhelming. Having him healthy again would mean the world—he’s my comfort, my constant & my heart.
