Bennett sat alone, locked in a cage, starving to death inside an apartment for a long time --- likely wondering why he was abandoned and if anyone would ever return.

One day, Bennett got a lifeline when a maintenance worker inadvertently discovered him. The person took photos of the horrifyingly emaciated dog and found help.

"Bennett's life was hanging by a thread when he was found trapped in a filthy cage," Savannah S., with Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, tells Waggle. "Lying in filth, with no hope; I can't imagine how hopeless and miserable he had to be."

Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue rushed Bennett to an animal hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. Bennett urgently requires full diagnostics, including bloodwork and X-rays. These crucial tests, will unveil all the underlying health problems he has been silently battling and also shed light on his severe emaciation.

As Bennett fights for his life, he remains in the ICU under constant supervision. Intravenous fluids are keeping him hydrated and a slow feeding plan so that he can regain his strength and stability. Every small step counts towards his recovery.
