Benny is a 11-year-old DSH Cat in Columbus, OH, who needs $1,405 for Dental extraction.

Benny found me 11 years ago when he was a kitten to a stray. It was raining heavily and our yard had flooded. I woke up to mewing outside my window and ran out to save drowning kitties. I found 2 kittens, soaking wet, in a bush. My mom and I dried them off and placed them in a box with towels to return to mama kitty, but she never came back. We've had these boys, Benny and Joon, ever since.

Benny's favorite spot is a lap and he wakes me up every morning to cuddle under the blankets. He's at the door to greet me every time I come home and he demands affection. He takes a pet like no problem, from anyone and everyone. When the feeder goes off, you can hear him click-clack right away to hog the food from his sister.

Benny is trouble. He yearns for the outdoors but cries whenever he manages to escape. He loves to eat holes through bread and dig up my plants. If you pet him just right, he'll (affectionately) bite your face. He has a breakaway collar, despite being indoor-only, because he's a bit ditsy and gets caught in peculiar places.

Benny has developed periodontal disease and one of his canines is being pushed out of its socket. He needs this tooth, and possibly others, removed and for the infection to be treated. He needs x-rays and blood work to check his health and how bad the infection is, to treat it correctly. Benny should have a full recovery after this procedure!

I'm a behavior interventionist for the public school district and only earn about half as much as a teacher. I had an unexpected emergency in January, so I don't have any money for Benny's dental surgery. I want him healthy and pain-free again more than anything.
