Benny Barkington is an elder Pembroke Welsh Corgi who was rescued from an abusive household in 2015. We live in an apartment, and ever since the loss of Stanley Ipkiss, our other corgi, back in July, Benny has been so, so sad, obviously grieving the loss of his companion.

Benny came to my boyfriend with bad teeth and was terrified of everything. As the years have gone by, despite our best efforts, his teeth have gotten worse and worse and he is now left with an abscess on one of his back right teeth. Due to his age, we're not sure how well he would do undergoing anesthesia to get his teeth extracted, so we would need to get his bloodwork done to ensure he's healthy

Benny Barkington somehow always finds the people who need him the most. He funds those who are quiet, sitting by themselves, and seemingly need some kind of companionship, even when they're not saying anything about it.

We are carrying numerous veterinary bills from Benny's "brother" who had renal cell carcinoma and underwent surgery and chemo last year. We had to prioritize Stanley's cancer treatment over Benny's dental needs, and, $30,000 later, we're still trying to dig out.
