Bentley is a 7 month old Mix-Breed in Amsterdam , NY, who needs $900 for Surgery to Close His Wound.

My 13 year old pitbull Mercedes had to be put down due to lung cancer, I was so lost till I found Bentley (jack) from homeward bound rescue, he came from Tennessee and just knew he was meant to be my forever baby. I have since getting him have worked so hard with training, he does well and I take care of my parents who are older with dementia and mobility issues,I have fixed income disability

Bentley i have made sure gets anything and everything as far as prevention treatment and regular checks, he is 7 months now and he ran unfortunately chasing my mom's cat which I have a severe neck and shoulder injury, he is not aggressive with our cats but for some reason its a chase, this happened outside,so he chased under the metal wheelchair ramp, got his side cut open right down to muscle.

Bentley is a very good comfort puppy for my mom who is mostly wheelchair bound, and very good for my dad's dementia because its fun to play with him, Bentley is my life, he is my child and I make sure he is always checked for everything, he is high energy, and does great with fetching running he loves, so this injury he has to stay calm so it doesn't open more, antibiotics, pain meds, and sedation

I am on disability, I spend every bit I can on Bentley and his health and we'll being before my own, I need spine surgery, but I can not afford to get this wound closed up,I paid 300 last night and its $782-$1,100 for aqueduct animal hospital where he goes to close this up,
