About this campaign
Bentley is a Pure bred Doberman Pincher. I got him as a pup when he was only 8 weeks old. He's not like any other. What makes him different are his ears, they were cropped wrong. He's been by my side everyday since then. He's been a a big part in protecting both of my young daughters (ages 3 and 6) He is beyond gentle with them.
He is extremely loyal to our family, very sweet and affectionate with the children, he has been raised with them.
Bentley is a fantastic guard dog, some are even scared by only his stance and his bark. He is our kids favorite protector
As a pup he had a lot of energy but as time went one he naps more than not.
For a big dog you would be surprised as how big of a baby he can be. He is afraid of the strangest things. Our daughter discovered he isn't a fan of bubbles. He sees one and he's gone. Giving him a bath results in half of in mud from laying where we just bathed him. 8 years later he still thinks he's a lap dog.
Like most Dobermans, Bentleys joint continue to get worse. He struggles every day just to get up out of his bed. There are days when he simply can't get up, not even to go out to use the bathroom. He will urinate on the floor and doesn't even bother to get out of it, instead he will sleep in it. The vet only gave him antibiotics and sent us on our way with a large bill.
Just the other day he started limping terribly and it isn't getting better. We're a low income family we don't have that kind of money for an emergency like this plus having to pay the current bill before they agree to see him.
