Bentley is a 1-year-old Pitt Bull/Doberman in Elkhart, IN, who needs $2,000 for chemotherapy.

We got Bentley when he was 6 weeks old- we were told he was 8 weeks but he was way too small. We didn't know what breed he was. His mother was rescued from a shelter as a pregnant pitt bull. So we knew he was at least half pitt. My sister got his litter mate and did a DNA test and he is 50% Pitt and 50% Doberman. He lives with us in Elkhart Indiana and hates to go outside in the rain.

Bentley is spoiled to the max and we wouldnt have it any other way. He is my 6 year olds best friend and he sleeps with me and my husband in our bed and as 80lbs he takes up more space then I do! He is a love bug, he loves to cuddle and be near someone at all times. If you get up, he will get up with you. He gets super excited for cookies and tries to kiss his cat sister but she refuses his love.

Bentley is our baby. He is our first family dog and means the world to us. He is goofy and loves to close doors when we are inside a room. He loves to crash lean on people that he loves and he jumps before he lays down to go to bed. He loves his sister who we rescued just 6 months ago and fell madly in love with her from the second they met. He always has to be touching her when he sleeps.

In August of 2021 we noticed a lump on his leg after many vet visits, and taking him 2.5 hours to Purdue Small Animal Hospital he was diagnosed with Lymphangiosarcoma. Which is very rare and Purdue has only had 1 case, so this is not only for him but to get more studies on this type of cancer for future cases. They want to do chemo now that pills have not worked as well as they wanted.

Covid hit our family hard. We lost both our jobs and had to get jobs that were making less than we were before. We are making ends meet and have spent over 2K to get him to this point. We want him to have a fighting chance and this would allow him to have one.
