We got Berlin in June of 2019. Currently, we live in Leadville, CO. He didn't quite get along with the dogs in his old family, so we made him the only dog in our family! Since we got him, Berlin has come out of his shell very much. He loves to play fetch, eat cheese, and cuddle with his humans. He's the perfect dog for us, and I believe we'rethe perfect people for him!

Berlin loves to cuddle first thing in the morning when he wakes up. He hops into bed with us and goes right back to sleep! He also loves car rides, he looks forward to them daily. Berlin loves to learn new tricks and gets so excited when he nails the trick AND gets a treat! He is very patient and will bring me shoes when it's time to go for a walk.

This was a very unexpected medical event, we don't have the funds readily saved up for the amount of treatment. Times have been rough recently, I will be back to full-time work (hopefully) soon. Berlin saved us, we will do everything we can to save him!

Berlin's leg was swelling at the beginning of May, and we were treating it as a sprained ankle with his local vet. We went to follow up with an x-ray a few weeks later to check for a break, but we saw a tumor in his bone. We had our first appt. with oncology, and Berlin has Osteosarcoma. He will need his front right leg amputated due to a pathological fracture. Chemo for post-amputation treatment.

Berlin is a smart dog, so his favorite toy is his puzzle! He has to take pieces out and slide the others around, and then flip some pieces open to get all the treats! Berlin loves going on adventures, any kind. Hikes, snowboarding, biking, skateboarding, you name it. He loves to go fast with his humans. Berlin is so adventurous that he got his own Instagram!
