Bernie came into our life unexpectedly. I fell in love soon as I saw his playful, kind, snuggly personality! He is a dream, and now a miracle to be alive! He was on a leashed walk when a larger dog jumped a fence and attacked. Bernie had was barely alive when they began exploratory surgery to see if he could be saved. Injuries were extensive but his extraordinary surgeon saved him! A miracle 🐾❤️

Bernie loves outdoor adventures, is ever ready for long snuggles! His squeaker toys are his favorite!! Bernie loves to take the lead, leash in mouth, for fun zoomie rounds when he finds plush grass to enjoy!! He loves all humans and fur friends and makes new ones wherever he goes...everyone in the neighborhood knows little Bernie ❤️ His new friends, well you can see the joy he brings to their eyes

Bernie loves to listen when you talk to him! He will nod his head and give little sneezes to show his attention and interest! He rarely barks, all ears, nods, and sneezies❤️ He quickly can go from zooming around to calm gentle snuggles. If someone is feeling down, he is the first to notice and the first to give kisses and cuddles.

Bernie was a healthy boy until a dog attack. He underwent exploratory surgery from significant trauma and extensive injuries which included having diaphragm and ribs reconstructed, etc. His extraordinary surgeon was finishing a long day but stayed to try and save him. Miraculously, she did❤️
