Bernie is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Walnut Cove, NC, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy (for Injection Site Sarcoma).

I rescued Bernie from living outside and have done my best to care for him regardless of my own hardships. He was diagnosed with injection site Sarcoma on 9/18/2025. I have been giving him medication ever since, per the veterinarian until earlier this year when I was advised to stop treatment for a couple of months because Bernie had to have an allergy treatment. His cancer has spread since.

-since I had to subside his medication, the cancer/tumor has spread to his anus and treatment/chemo is required in order to avoid economic euthanasia due to cost and his current condition.

He has saved me just as much as I have saved him. He loves to lay in the bed and talk to you when he needs to. He is a pleasant cat and hasn’t given me any trouble.

My income varies because of the competitive house and pet sitting market that I work in. I am considered as living below the poverty line. I don’t turn down work and go above and beyond.
