About this campaign

Florida’s Forgotten Felines, a small volunteer-run rescue dedicated to caring for and rescuing community cats, recently discovered that Bert, a sweet colony cat, had been missing for 5 days and returned very ill. At his first appointment, Bert underwent a comprehensive examination, including X-rays, blood work, flea treatment, and a SNAP test to check for underlying illnesses

The results were alarming: Bert’s liver values were extremely high, indicating that he may have been exposed to a toxin or harmful substance during his time away. His condition required close monitoring and follow-up care to ensure his recovery and prevent further complications.

Bert is scheduled for a follow-up appointment where he will undergo additional blood work to track his liver health and ensure he is responding to treatment. Every test, procedure, and veterinary visit comes with a cost, and as a very small volunteer-run organization, Florida’s Forgotten Felines relies entirely on the generosity of donors to provide lifesaving care for cats like Bert.

This organization’s mission is to care for and rescue community cats who often have no one else to turn to. They work tirelessly to provide food, shelter, medical care, and love to cats in need, but they cannot do it without support.
