About this campaign
We got Bess as a new companion for our older dog Blue, his brother had been hit by a car and he was in a slump. After about 6 months we brought home a puppy and named her Bess. She quickly won the hearts of the kid and is lovingly called "puppy Bess." Bess came to us at 9 weeks old with a small wound that was infected and 8 months later we are trying to pay for a surgery to turn that all around.
Bess has had a hard road so far and because of that is often spoiled rotten, you can find her curled up on the ottoman her favorite place to sleep. She's often a source for giggles as her long ears match her personality, flopping to and fro and typically have morsels left over from her last mea😆 Bess is loved by our 2 boys and puts up with them perfectly.
We are still in our first year with Bess and this being her first winter, snow and falling snow is her absolute favorite to pounce around in like a little fox.
We got Bess at 9 wks old with an infection on her bottom jaw. A vet determined it to be a puncture wound from another dog. After multiple antibiotics, cultures and 3 rounds of X-rays Bess is bone infection free. However the infection deformed her bottom jaw and caused multiple teeth to not erupt. The teeth are still down in the bone and need to be removed. Bess has no canines or front bottom teeth
Over the last 8 months we have paid for multiple vet visits, medications, cultures, and multiple rounds of X-rays which have cost a significant amount, depleting our financial resources. This surgery is expensive and necessary. Bess is young and has a long life ahead of her
