About this campaign
Bestla has been a wonderful blessing to our family since March of 2020. We drove through the snow to a different state to get her. She needed a new place to live and we were so grateful to have been chosen to be her forever home. We wanted another gentle giant since we had lost our english mastiff puppy in 2018.
Bestla is a 140 pound ball of love and a total bean bag of comfort. She’s a cuddler, she will sleep anywhere her mama’s feet are resting. Bes is the little spoon when she’s in bed, she thinks she’s petite. She’s definitely our fur child, nicknamed Sissybear or Sissy, connected to myself especially, as I have ptsd and general anxiety. She’s also my husband’s big baby/little girl. She’s my boy’s bff.
We are a one-income family which makes it super hard to have any type of savings, especially since the pandemic started. My husband's work was impacted by the shut down. Bestla was diagnosed with Pyometra on Monday 7/12/2021, which is a life threatening infection inside the uterus. She’s currently on antibiotics, but she in much need of surgery. Her vet’s info is Dr. Sheri Schlorman at Creswell Veterinary Hospital.
Bestla is a goofball, she’s such a gentle giant. If she’s fallen asleep on the couch the night before she will wake up in the morning and will bounce her wiggly butt off of the hallway to greet me and it’s s the best wake up to any morning. She loves to have her not only her belly rubbed, but she digs shoulder massages. She’s got a mama bear approach to her when it comes to kids.
