About this campaign
I met Betty at Banfield when I was taking my service dog Princess for her wellness check up. A lady had found Betty with no tag or chip. I kept in touch to see how Betty was and when her guardian was found, she couldn't keep her. Betty's original owner was in hospice and Betty at 13 years old was too old to be placed in a shelter. So I decided adopted her and give her a chance at life and a home.
I took Betty to get wellness a plan like my other pets and get groomed on a Sunday. She was fine until night time. She started having breathing issues most of the night and her breathing was labored. I took her to a Vet hospital that could service her in the early morning hours of the night. Oxygen and were given sedatives to try to calm her down. Pulmonary hypertension is what it was diagnosed.
Betty is one of the most kindest and gentlest soul I have ever met. She always wags her tail and is super trusting of anyone that comes to meet her. I fell in love with her little personality and her heart. Many people let her down and didn't have room in their life for her but she is a little gift and I appreciate the joy she gives our home everyday she is with us. She is a sweet little angel.
I am disabled, on social security and medicaid. I have a rare form of migraine (brainstem with Aura) which makes me blind I and faint. I am on a fixed income but I try to provide for my little fur babies who are my emotional support when I have bad days with my disabilities.
