About this campaign
This is Big Bit. I rescued him when he showed up at my house years ago as a kitten. I had to tame him although he is still a little nervous.
I started off calling him Little Bit because he was the runt of the bunch (I got the others homes but no one wanted a black cat). But he kept growing when I brought him inside and quickly became Big Bit. Big Bit has grown up with my now 12 year old daughter. I think she could tap dance around him and he wouldn’t care, he is the sweetest boy. He watched over her even as a baby. As she got older he watched her from a distance and eventually slept with her every night. He is always accepting of my other outcast kitties.
I love this boy and normally would do this on my own but a year ago my husband left my daughter and I and I have to make difficult choices. I hate this, I hate asking but I hate worse letting my boy suffer. It takes a lot for me to ask for help but I have no choice
Big Bit has hyper thyroid. This should be an easy fix with meds and the first year it worked great. Then he refused any way I tried to give him the pill. I started the treatment where you can run it on his ear and he started running from me and wouldn’t let me near him. He was so scared. It breaks my heart that I can’t medicate him without him running from me.
Big Bit is very vocal. When he’s upset it sounds like he’s saying WHYYYYYY. He meows for attention, food and when he’s nervous. And purrs so loud! He loves to sit by the front door and feel the breeze coming from under the door. He follows me everywhere and is so submissive to my other cats. I love watching him play with my blind cat Zita.
