Attacked and Injured: Billo Needs a Metal Plate to Walk Again

Billo's life changed in an instant.

This sweet boy was attacked by a large neighborhood terrier, suffering a devastating fracture to his leg. His family rushed him to an emergency veterinary hospital, hoping to get him the help he desperately needed. Unfortunately, the cost of the necessary surgery was far beyond what they could afford.

That's when Death Row Dogs Rescue stepped in.

Billo was surrendered into our care so he could receive the lifesaving medical treatment he needs. He is currently safe with one of our temporary medical fosters, where he is receiving love, comfort, and around the clock care while we work to save his leg.

After being evaluated by our veterinarian and having X-rays performed, we learned that Billo's injury is severe. To properly heal the fractured bone and give him the best chance at a normal, pain free life, he requires orthopedic surgery to place a metal plate on the bone. Without this procedure, the injury may not heal correctly, and amputation could become the only option.

Billo has already been through so much. He deserves the chance to run, play, and live the happy life every dog deserves.
