Billy is a 15-year-old Yorkie Pekingese in Olympia, WA, who needs $2,000 for dental work.

I've rescued Billy when he was three. He had been neglected, tied up outside. In the last 12 years, we've done so much. He loves camping, swimming, bike riding, car rides, rafting and running real fast. I love him with all my heart and soul. We've grown close. Billy is a wonderful companion. We've come a long way together and I am looking forward to our golden years. He is full of life and love.

Billy is very loyal. I live alone and he helps me with everything. He is adorable because he will try almost anything. For about 6 years, I had 2 young disabled boys with me. He was wonderful with them. They had no idea he wasn't human. It was magical. All my neighbors love Billy because he is so cute. People always approach us in public. He even gets his pictures taken. And Billy is affectionate.

I recently became disabled. I live on a small pension. I use social services to help with food and utilities. Having this surgery will drastically impact the quality of Billy's live. He is so strong, but in lots of pain. I can only imagine how much better he will feel.

Billy has serious dental issues with gum disease and possible bone loss. He will need removal of most of his teeth due to infection. That includes x-rays, blood testing, cleaning, anesthesia and medications. It will take him approximately 2 weeks to recover, as he is otherwise healthy. Billy's surgery will be done at South Bay Vet.

One of the things I love is when Billy and I are on a car ride. He is on the seat and he puts his head on the console and looks lovingly at me. It melts my heart. I love watching him when he and his sister, Velvet Rose, are running from me, they are side-by-side glancing back to see if I am chasing them. I love remembering when I got him from the rescue. He frantically kissed my face.
