Bimmer is a 13-year-old Dachshund in Gulfport, MS, who needs $2,000 for Blood Work and Urgent Dental Cleaning.

Bimmer was rescued from a backyard breeder at the tender age of 3 weeks old in 2010. I (Rachael) had him until 2016 when I had to move out of state. I gave him to my best friend Shana at that time. She was the perfect home for him! I mean, he was the entire reason we met and became best friends! Anyway, about 2 months after Shana got him, my ex-partner showed up to Shana's house and STOLE BIMMER!

Bimmer was gone for EIGHT YEARS. We tried to get him back but met obstacles at every turn. THEN on 02/24/2024, I got a call from a veterinary clinic about 100 miles from Shana saying they found Bimmer! He was in rough shape and desperately needed an expensive dental cleaning along with a comprehensive exam and blood work. We were overjoyed that he'd been found (and a little shocked)!

Bimmer is the reason Shana and I became friends all those years ago. We were at a mutual friend's house when Shana walked in. Bimmer instantly ran to her and gave her kisses and snuggles. She loved him, too! We got to talking about him and how old he was and all that and really hit it off. We've been best friends ever since. Bimmer is the thread that pulled us together! And now he needs our help!

Bimmer is 13 years old now. After 8 years of neglect and then being abandoned at a truck stop, he desperately needs a comprehensive exam, blood work, vaccines, preventative, and most importatnly - a dental cleaning and possibly all his teeth removed in order to save his life. Raintree Veterinary Center in Hoquiam, WA has set up an initial appointment for him on 04/02/2024 that costs about $350.

I live thousands of miles away. Shana is struggling with her mental health and raising her 2-year-old daughter. Although we are extremely excited and grateful to have Bimmer back, neither of us can afford this care. The dental could cost up to $3000. We'll know more soon!
