About this campaign
I adopted Bing (as we call him) on June 10, 2017 at the age of 10 weeks. He and his siblings were surrendered to the animal shelter where I work at 7 weeks old and I was lucky enough to be asked to help carry the litter inside and immediately knew that I would adopt him. We currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my children and he goes to and from work with me everyday.
Bing is non-reactive to any animal or human even when behaviors are less than friendly. His social skills and manners have made him one of the favorite offices to visit for our humane education students and a go-to dog for staff to use when testing resident shelter animal behaviors. He loves other animals and is fascinated by birds and squirrels and absolutely adores our family, "his people".
I am currently employed however my second job is not opening due to C-19 making it impossible to cover costs on my own. I am receiving a generous 25% discount at the clinic. My "best-beastie" is wasting away and suffering due to this injury, having him healthy is priority.
In February 2020 he was seen by the veterinarian after being diagnosed in November of 2019 and was diagnosed with worsening bilateral stifle effusion and DJD. He has had 1 knee repaired and has lost a total of 34 pounds. His legs collapse from under him and he is on a large dose of pain meds 3 times per day until his 2nd knee can be repaired.
Bingley is the perfect combination of sweet, gentle, derpy, and is the definition of lazy. His facial expressions can rival any humans with eyebrows that do most of the talking. Content to hang out and watch, he isn't an "in-the-face" type of dog. His best friend is our cat Pickles, and he loves anything loud and stuffed with a squeaker. It talks to him and he will gladly grunt and talk back.
