Bjorn's story will break your heart.

First, Bjorn's family moved, ditched him, and left him outside to fend for himself.

Starving and unsure of where to go next, the sweet, hungry boy approached someone for help. Instead, that person kicked Bjorn in the face, breaking his jaw and dislocating his jaw's joint.

When Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI) heard about Bjorn, they swooped in to save him. Now, he's hospitalized and requires surgery to remove a few teeth so he can eat comfortably.

"His jaw will never lay normally, and he will always drool a little bit, but we think Bjorn's crooked jaw makes him adorable," Amy H., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "It shows what a brave boy he has been!"

Despite the trauma inflicted on Bjorn, he remains a sweet, trusting soul. But the rescue needs to raise the money for his medical bills.
