Black Betty (BB) is a 4-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Cabot, AR, who needs $700 for Open Pyometra Removal surgery.

BB was a stray that happened to wander onto my porch December 2019. She was absolutely terrified to let us near her at first! So I would just leave food out for her and the other strays that would come and go. She liked to hang around though! Not like the others. Eventually she let me pet her, then bring her inside! She's been a loving family pet ever since. She is apart of my heart and soul 😔❤️

She has gotten along fairly well with the other cats I already had when she came along! And she's very calm and docile towards my children. Which is a must! She loves snuggles from any and everyone. But she is very close to me specifically. She's chosen me as her person. I really can't go anywhere without her following. I don't know what I'd do without her.

We just recently moved to a larger home big enough for our children and cat family. We haven't had any savings for a while. We're really a paycheck to paycheck home. I never expected this to happen. I've never had any medical emergencies with any of my pets.

I took BB to an ER Vet in Little Rock, AR. They did some x-rays and discovered she has an open Pyometra. Which basically means she has blood and puss build up in her infected uterus. It needs to be removed. They were charging $3771 which I can't pay. So I called Southwest Animal Clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas and he can do the procedure for $750! Her consult is tomorrow morning 06/06/2020.

She's just absolutely amazing. I love her calm personality and all of her snuggles. She has the coloring of a puppet. She's a tuxedo kitty, but the white is PERFECTLY on the bottom of her mouth like a ventriloquist doll or something. Her whiskers are so long and make her look like a very wise old shaman. She is special. ❤️
