I'm creating this campaign on behalf of my mother, Teri. My mother, who is a staunch animal lover, got Blanket roughly 13 years ago from an animal shelter. Blanket has always been her special kitty. Currently, my mother is unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is on unemployment while she looks for work. In addition, my mother is a caregiver to her elderly mother.

Blanket has a great life at home and is a very friendly cat who loves drinking from the sink. She's 13 years old, but still acts like a kitten and is very playful. One of her unique quirks is she likes to jump from the ground onto your shoulder. She's very cuddly and likes when you comb her fur. and rub her belly (carefully).

My mother was laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently on unemployment. In addition, my mother has been dealing with some of her own health challenges and is a caregiver to her elderly mother, who lives with her.

A couple months ago, Blanket was rushed to the vet after Teri found her collapsed. Blanket had a lump in her lung and had it removed, along with parts of other internal organs. The cancer came back after surgery and now the cancer is in Blanket's bone in her shoulder. Chemo and radiation may help. Blanket's vet is talking to an oncologist at Blue Pearl in Arden Hills, Minnesota.

As I mentioned before, Blanket likes to drink from the sink and put her head under the running water. We've always thought this was odd. Any time you go to the bathroom, she insists on going with you and will sit at the edge of the sink waiting for you to turn it on. Also, she jumps from the ground onto your shoulders when she wants a hug. She also loves her fur to be combed with your brush.
