Blitz lives with me, my husband and my four daughters, who adore him deeply. He’s incredibly gentle with them and has always been patient and affectionate, especially with the youngest. He’s also part of a little animal trio—he has two cat siblings that he’s bonded closely with over the years. They sleep together, play together, and are clearly confused and sad without him home right now.

He’s been diagnosed with jaundice, and they suspect serious underlying liver or bile duct issues. He’s undergoing extensive diagnostics and treatments—bloodwork, ultrasound, IV support, and more. The costs have already added up quickly, and there’s still a long road ahead.

Blitz is patient, loving, and silly in the most endearing ways. He loves to chase toy mice, sunbathe in his favorite window spot, and follow me from room to room just to be near. When someone in the family is sad, he’s right there with cuddles and nose boops. He’s especially close to me, we have a bond that words can’t describe. He’s my shadow, my emotional support, and my heart.

This has been one of the most emotionally and financially overwhelming times of my life. Blitz’s sudden illness came out of nowhere, and the emergency and specialty care he needs is expensive but necessary. Having him healthy again would be the greatest gift.
