Sweet kitty showed up in May howling at my window for days. Initially shy and wary, shaggy and unkempt. I started leaving food out for him as a search for owners turned up empty. He began to warm up quickly and enjoy cheek scritching and petting. But would leave after eating. In vain I followed him to see if he had a home. He seems to have chosen us - he knows he is loved.

We call him Bloo. Appearing for a bite to eat, snuggles and love, sauntering off afterward to make his rounds for the day, he is incredibly sweet with my other two recently adopted kitties. His gentle demeanor has stolen our hearts. Where he sleeps at night we know not, but we provide the care we can with bed and blanket. As concerned cat citizens we have had him neutered and vaccinated.

This sweet boy is gentle - kind to my two recently adopted kitties - defers to them, allows neighbors to pet him, has started to be playful. He just needs love and wants to trust hoomans. We can't keep him as "ours" but it would be nice for him to have a loving lap after he heals from surgery. Russian Blues are known to be amazingly gentle. And so he has proved to be.

Last night Bloo showed up at the back door with his right rear leg hanging limply from its socket. Howling in pain we knew that Pet ER was essential. Dr. Robert Sikes at Veterinary Surgical Group outlined a treatment plan with a strong probability for a positive outcome if the bone is set and allowed to heal. Bloo is young (18 mos) and has a full life ahead of him if we can get him the surgery.

Already spent $1,000 on ER visit to determine the injury and another $600 for vaccinations, flea treatment and neutering 2 months ago. Today's blood work and surgery estimate - another $450. Not looking for remuneration but help with this surgery. All help is appreciated
