About this campaign
Blossom is just a 2-month-old baby, barely 3 pounds, who was found struggling to walk on someone’s porch. After x-rays, we learned just how serious it is — she has a traumatic hernia and a fractured pelvis, with organs displaced and needing urgent surgical repair.
And yet… she’s a total purr machine. Sweet, loving, and acting like nothing is wrong.
We knew we couldn’t let her sit in the shelter all weekend without the care she desperately needs. So we said yes. Even knowing this is going to be a big, expensive medical case. Thankfully, we have an amazing medical foster ready for her.
Blossom is safe now — but she has a long road ahead, including surgery and recovery.
We need your help. Cases like this are why we exist, but they add up fast. If you can donate toward Blossom’s care, it would mean everything to this tiny girl who deserves a chance at a full, happy life.
Thank you for always showing up when they need it most 💕🐱
3/31/26 Update: Blossom made it through surgery!
Blossom update 🧡
This tiny girl has already been through more than most cats ever should—and she’s still fighting.
Blossom had her first major surgery to repair not one, but two massive hernias. One was through her left sidewall near her hip, and another along her midline—creating two separate openings where her organs had shifted into places they should never be.
Her surgery took over TWO hours. For a 2 lb kitten, that is a very long, very serious procedure.
She now has both permanent and non-permanent sutures holding everything where it belongs and is on strict cage rest while she heals. Her foster mom is taking incredible care of her, and through it all, Blossom remains as sweet and loving as ever.
But this is only the beginning.
This first surgery alone was just under $3,200… and she still needs a second surgery to repair her pelvis.
We may never know exactly what happened to her, but based on the extent of her injuries, it’s likely she was kicked. It’s hard to even process how someone could do this to such a tiny, innocent kitten.
But what matters now is that she’s safe—and we are not giving up on her.
We know we’ve asked for help recently, and we don’t take that lightly. But we truly have nowhere else to turn.
The good news: we have a generous donor who is matching the first $800 donated.
That means your donation goes twice as far right now.
If you can help in any way—donate, share, anything at all—you are directly helping us give Blossom the life she deserves.
She’s fighting. We’re fighting. We just need you with us 🧡
5/15/26 Update: Blossom is healing!
Blossom update 🌸
We have the best news to share about our sweet girl, Blossom! She saw the amazing Dr. Lauren at Atlas Vet and got the all clear!
Her incredibly challenging dual hernia surgery is healing beautifully, and her broken pelvis is also recovering exactly as we hoped. Watching her bounce back after everything she’s been through has been nothing short of amazing. She is truly a little fighter.
We are so incredibly grateful for this community. Your support is the reason we’re able to say yes to kittens like Blossom when they need us most. 💕
