Blu had major dental surgery to heal his stomatitis at the rescue before we adopted him. He only has a few teeth left and was expected to be good to go for years. But sadly his stomatitis has flared up and he's scratching at his mouth due to the pain, making himself bleed. He's on antibiotics to help the blisters heal so he's ready for surgery once we have the funds.

Blu is a love bug who spends all day lounging on my desk while I work and all evening curled up in our laps. He's incredibly affectionate, surprisingly playful for his age and has a deep gratitude for being rescued. He loves watching birds out of the window and finding new blankets to catnap on. His favorite blanket is always the one I'm using!

Blu is special in many ways, but what I love most of all is his fascination with my toes. He's also got a knack for finding sleeping spots where you can't pawsibly miss him! The cold weather suits his cuddly nature very well and I must say he makes one super handsome kitty burrito! When I'm working he likes to lay upside down to check it out.

He was rescued from Miami Beach because he was losing weight and crying when he ate. The rescue discovered that his mouth was covered in very painful blisters that quickly began to hurt even when he wasn't eating. The rescue vet diagnosed him with stomatitis and he received pain meds and antibiotics to prepare for surgery. After the dental surery, he became affectionate and started gaining weight.

We're a young budding household without a lot of savings. We are paycheck-to-paycheck right now while my partner goes to flight school and I work to cover expenses. Blu is in pain and it breaks my heart. I hope he can get help very soon.
