Blue Boy is a 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Boise , ID, who needs $1,718 for Electrochemotherapy.

This is my beautiful, inside and out, Blue Boy. About 4 weeks ago a biopsy of his nose showed squamous cell carcinoma. It was devastating as a vet thought it may be herpes but he didn't respond on a antivirals. He was a stray intact male - feral. In 2019 I trapped, had him fixed and brought him into the house. He sleeps on my bed- my head actually, every night. He loves my down pillows.

Blue Boy was feral, but you wouldn't know it now! Blue Boy doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's loving, gets along with my other cats (see photos of him with his two buddys). He loves to sleep on my down bed pillows. When I'm in bed reading, he has to be right next to me- he loves to nudge. Every night as I first go to sleep- he has to rest his chin on my forehead and purrs me to sleep.

The sleeping on my head is like clockwork as soon as I turn off my light. He loves his tree stump out at the edge of the yard to scratch. It's the first place he runs to. He's my helper when I irrigate- he loves the water! Just looking at my Blue Boy makes me smile and feel so good about saving him from a life as a tom cat.

Blue Boy had a corneal ulcer and his left eye was removed in Oct. 2021. He was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on his nose- which if left untreated will compromise his remaining eye. The treatment the oncology vet wants to do is called Eletrochemotherapy. It has shown to be highly effective for this type of cancer. Our veterinarian is an amazing doctor!

I need help to pay for his treatment- I retired early because of autoimmune disease called Giant Cell Arteritis. I have been able to care for my pets- this expense it beyond my ability to pay. Blue Boy has loving home after years on the streets, he trusts me to save him.
