Blue is a 3-month-old American Shorthair Kitten in Daphne, AL, who needs $1,765 for Constipation enemas + IV Fluids.

When we arrived in this state, we learned about the case of two mother cats and four babies who were abandoned in a residential complex where my daughter lives. We brought them to our home and noticed the runt female had constipation. We took her to 1 vet with failed treatment and now realize with the 2nd vet the right treatment is to hospitalize her to get enemas and IV fluids.

Blue is a sweet female, she was born with 3 other siblings that are all sweet and have been placed successfully in good home. Blue is fighting for her life. She's playful when she feels better and loves to be cuddled. She sleeps with her mother and surrogate mother as we rescued 2 mothers one of which had her kittens taken from her early on, but stayed with the other mother and the 4 kittens.

She is a sweet loving cat, not aggressive, likes to be cuddled and petted, playful, but not rambunctious. She would make a wonderful pet. Blue is the grunt of the litter and even though she hasn't felt very good for the last 30 days she still has spurts of playful energy. This kitten is adorable and needs a chance in life.

The gold standard for trying to get a super constipated cat to poop on her own is fluids in the vein and hospitalization so she can get enemas and meds as needed. If we can’t get her straightened out soon, she could need manual evacuation of the stool and this is best avoided if at all possible. Being constipated to this degree, her bowels have been stretched and risk decreased blood supply.

We are topped out financially. We have already spent over $900.00 rescuing these cats and have a lot of bills to pay and cannot take this burden. We don't want her to be put down. She could make a great pet for someone.
