Blue is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in Farmington, ME, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Correction of Right Tibial Growth Plate.

Blue was welcomed to our home as a long awaited missing link in February/March 2024. Although I left it up to my older son to name him, the lady whom had him at first had a blue collar on him. His siblings also wore colored collars. She would often refer to them as their collar color before going to their fur-ever home. My son loved Blue as a name, so we kept it!

(Blue) fractured his Fibula. The Emergency Vet explained that he didn't need surgery, just a splint, meds, and to follow up with our Vet. My Vet recommended an Orthopedic Vet for his f/u. It was during this visit they gave me the unfortunate news that not only does Blue indeed have a fractured fibula, but the new x-rays they took showed a right tibial growth plate fracture that requires surgery.

Blue is the sweetest, most playful little puppy that truly completes this family of all boys! I'm very outnumbered here. Blue is just a baby and he really deserves to have this injury addressed promptly and to have the best quality of life as he grows.

This was just an unexpected event/injury added to an already tight budget on our family. I've used up care credit to pay for our Vet, The Emergency Vet bill, and his Ortho Vet bill which will lead to an added monthly expense that I'm not even sure I can afford.
