About this campaign
Blue was quite literally born into my arms. His mother (pictured) was a stray I took in when I was 19. I didn’t expect to fall in love with him but I fell head over heels and we haven’t spent a day apart since then. As soon as we met I knew we were gonna be best buds. He went everywhere with me wrapped in a little “purito” always just happy to tag along.
Blue is a fan favorite in every sense of the word. Everyone he meets becomes obsessed with his playful and relaxed energy. I live with five roommates and every single one of them would do anything for him. He also is the sweetest and most gentle brother to our other cats. He’s always the center of attention in any room.
When blue fell ill I had people who I barely even knew reaching out. He’s so incredibly loved not just by me and my house mates but by every person that meets him even if it’s just for a brief moment. I always am reminded of how patient he is when we feed our cats, blue will stand behind all of them and let them eat before him and if someone is crying or upset he’s the first on the scene.
This is not the first time we’ve run into trouble with blue and developing a blockage. After the first emergency visit they warned us he could rebel on again. His first blockage was three years so we’ve had a good run until now. It’s heartbreaking to watch him go through something so painful for the second time but the important thing is that he’s safe and receiving care.
As I mentioned this is not the first time this has happened. The first time around I completely emptied all of my savings. This time unfortunately I wasn’t as financially prepared. I’m still In college trying to pay rent and bills while caring for my cats it’s been tough.
