Bo is a 5.5-year-old Hound Mix in Brandon, FL, who needs $1,500 for CBLO/TPLO.

My son rescued Bo from the pound when he was 10 months old. Someone left him in a box by the front door. Bo has been our best friend since he came into out life. He is the sweetest boy ever and loves everyone. He went to puppy daycare every day for the first few years of his life and had so many friends he just loves them all

Bo lives in our home with 2 rescue cats and another rescue dog. He loves to sleep on our king size bed and thinks it is his. Bo loves to go to daycare and play with his friends, but right now, he is in pain and not able to. We take walks around the neighborhood and he is a great walker without his leash. He stops and walks right next to me.

Bo does not like loud noises. We believe he was dragged by a vehicle when he was a baby as he has scratch marks that seem to coincide with being dragged. He is not a fan of fireworks, thunder or motorcycles. He has car anxiety due to what we believe happened as a baby. He loves to talk to us. He yells when he wants to play with his laser light or wants food or treat.

Bo had his left knee surgery back in September 2021. We have done a lot of prevention to try to avoid the right knee surgery. We were told dogs usually tear the other acl within the first year and we thought we made it. We went out of town and when we came home, Bo and his sister, Gigi were so excited to see us that he fell on his other knee and has not been able to use it since. He is in pain

I have a small emergency fund but not clearly enough to handle the expense of this surgery. The first one was $5400 and we are visiting 3 different vets this week to gather the best fit and price available. Unfortunately our other vet retired in November 2022.
