Bob is a 14-year-old Manx/Mainecoon in Baldwinsville, NY, who needs $1,371 for urgent dental treatment, medications, and testing.

Bob was adopted on a whim at the pound at 3 mo.s-- he was too playful and loving to leave, he captured my heart (and I was not there took at cats!!) He is THE most important person in our family. Primarily he provides entertainment and love but when my serious health issues come up he sticks to me like glue and keeps me company when I am laid up. He is a very social, vocal, alert snugglemonster.

Bob has a touch of "Cat OCD"-- we accept a certain routine (wake: snuggle, eat, outside, snuggle, sub-cutaneous fluids (like IV), catnip, snuggle, watch me get ready, etc...) it used to be his routine to go on the window seat around 10am as I worked from home... Once a snow drift blocked the view and Bob couldn't figure out where to sit because it messed up his routine (up, down, up, down, up..!)

I have a fixed income because my health issues limit how many hours a week I can work. We have been paying for Bob's 3 medications and 2 prescription diet foods a month for about 5 years. I can afford fluids or meds but not both. Dental work is out of the question:(

Bob has been on lactose, miralax, cisapride for years for hard stool and did very well with medication until June. He developed a blockage that was very painful and had to go through traumatic, painful treatment to clear it. Once clear he still wouldn't eat-- he tried but kept dropping it. He developed kidney issues and per the vet he needs fluids, gabapentin, 2 teeth extractions, cleaning.

Having no tail (see pics) Bob often does what we call the "Jabba the Hutt" pose, sitting up vertically as we laugh hysterically in the background!
Once he got used to a harness we taught him how to use the doorbell (literally bells I hung up) so he could get tied up but let us know whenever he wanted to come in. He LOVES going out on the porch, stalking phantom mice, bouncing into walls at night
