About this campaign
Bodhi had a brush with death four years ago -- and now he's fighting for his life again.
The beautiful and sweet Cocker Spaniel mix was initially saved by a rescue group after he survived a coyote attack that killed his mate and pups. That was the day Michelle S. met Bodhi and knew she would adopt him.
"I will never forget the day I met Bodhi on March 18, 2018," Michelle tells Waggle. "It was love at first sight! I was able to adopt Bodhi on April 13, 2018. That was the best day ever!"
Bodhi blossomed in Michelle's care. "He has made many new happy memories," she says. "He has learned that he is loved and finally safe in his forever home. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He shares his toys with other dogs. He even received his American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen certification."
But Michelle just got some devastating news: Bodhi has small cell lymphoma in his liver nodule. He needs urgent surgery at VCA Animal Specialty Group to remove the growth. Time is of the essence, so the lymphoma does not spread. The estimate for his surgery is $10,912.25.
Michelle is racing against time to come up with the money and needs your assistance.
"He is my best friend, my soul mate, and he brings me so much happiness, I can't even imagine a life without him," she says. "We still have so much to do together. The love we have for each other is endless. Please help me help him get everything he needs to live the life he deserves. We would both be forever grateful and appreciative. He is my world, and I don't want to say goodbye yet."
