About this campaign

I adopted my baby Boncuk roughly 9 years ago in September from an animal shelter. He was born with a cataract in both eyes, unfortunately. He has been my world since then. I brought him home, gave him a comfortable life, provided food, shelter, and most importantly love. I took him to his veterinary visits regularly to make sure he was okay. Until I started to notice his left eye turn red.

Once I took Boncuk to the veterinary hospital to have his vision checked out they had mentioned that the cataract not only had turn into glaucoma, but now there is a tumor in his eye, as seen from the photos. The veterinarian informed us that he had no vision in that eye and that it needed to be removed as soon as possible. While the cost is $3700+, I am having a lot of trouble affording this.

My baby Boncuk not once in 9 years has scratched or bit me. He is the most caring, peaceful, and kind pet I’ve owned. He knows when I’m upset and he knows when I’m at peace. He will immediately care for me and start to lick me if he notices a tear roll down my face. He’s my best friend and I want him to be at ease. He’s is suffering from the pain in his eye and I am suffering with him.

I am currently working 2 jobs trying to make means. $3,700+ for an enucleation is something I am having trouble affording. Seeing my pet not be lethargic and seeing him at ease would mean the world to me. I am constantly putting eye drops in his eye to reduce eye pressure.
