About this campaign
Bonnie is a rescue, who came into our lives at 6 months old. It truly was love at first sight! She was my daughter's dream kitty. The kids opted to change her name, and named her after the room's sponsor, only change is the B. She is a tortie who has never been told of the "Tortie Tude", she is a sweetie and loves a good cuddle! Bonnie has 2 human sisters, a canine sister and a kitty sister.
Bonnie has always had a silent meow, however she can be quite loud when she wants to be. She sleeps with Mom and the dog, however visits others during the night. She loves a good blanket or chest to snuggle on. She plays with both the cat and dog, initiating it herself with a gentle swat. She loves being in the sun and chattering at the birds while sitting in a window.
Bonnie and the dog have a special bond. I often find them waking up at the foot of the bed together. She and the other kitty love to play chase and share toys. She LOVES catnip and will come running at the sound of the bag crinkling, she knows who has it! With partial deafness she will look around to see who's calling her. With a wave, her tail will shoot up and she trots right to you.
I spoke with a local rescue about her horrible breath, and our veterinarian found an infected ear polyp burst through her ear drum. Her first surgery was at 10 mo old, followed by weeks of antibiotics for kitty staph. A specialist will do a VBO to hopefully rid her of this forever. Horner's Syndrome & partial deafness is a chance we'll take.
A divorce, and all 3 pets special needs have been very expensive. Bonnie does have pet insurance, however being able to raise this money will cover what her insurance will not. This surgery could exceed her out of pocket maximum by $3K, however she will be pain free.
