Bonya is 8 years old and has been with me almost her entire life. She was a gift from my parents and instantly became my little shadow. She lives with me and is the only pet I have. She follows me everywhere, waits for me by the door, and falls asleep next to me every night. She has filled my life with love, comfort, and a sense of home I can’t imagine living without.

Bonya is currently in a life-threatening condition due to fluid building up in the pleural space around her lungs, making it very hard for her to breathe. She had to be placed in an oxygen emergency for support. She is being treated at Family Pet Medical Center, where they are doing everything possible to stabilize her and save her life.

Bonya may be small, but she is my biggest protector. Sometimes it feels like she’s not my little one, but the one taking care of me. She always stays close, watching over me in her own gentle way, making me feel safe and never alone. Her love is quiet but powerful, and I feel it every single day.

This is an emergency, and the cost of her treatment is overwhelming for me right now. I’m here in the U.S. alone without family support, doing everything I can but I can’t do this on my own. Any help would give her a real chance to keep living and breathing. Thank you.
