About this campaign
Boo Boo Kitty came into our lives under heartbreaking circumstances. She had been feral for most of her life and was rescued when we discovered a large open wound on her back. We named her Boo Boo Kitty (aka BBK) because we didn't know if she was a boy or a girl. She's lived with my family (including 3 cats and 1 dog) for 15 months, where she received daily hands on treatment for her injury.
We're seeking help to cover the cost of radioactive iodine (I-131) treatment for hyperthyroidism, as recommended by our veterinarian, extraction of teeth once healed, and upcoming additional labwork (RadCats requires a specific thyroid level and urinalysis. The labwork that was done, only told that the thyroid levels were greater than 10.) that is scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Despite her traumatic past and feral background, BBK slowly learned to trust and has since adapted beautifully to life with our family and our other pets. She's an incredible girl that enjoys belly rubs, treats and laying in the sunshine. She has recently learned to get on our bed unassisted, where she enjoys lounging with our cat, Sunny and watching cat tv (even swatting at the screen!).
The cost of the radiation treatment is more than we're able to manage on our own, especially following the extensive medical care she's already required. BBK has already overcome so much! With your help, we hope to give her the chance at lasting health and relief from pain.
