About this campaign

Boo was rescued along with his mama, Chloe, a feral street cat who was brought to a shelter when she was pregnant. He lives with his family, Pete, Sue, and Amanda and Chloe.

Boo is such a joy in all our lives. He still bugs his Mama and can be a bit of a food/treat bully, but he is also sweet and affectionate. He loves lazy afternoons basking where the sun hits and looking at the birds out the window in the morning. He sleeps with his adopted mom, Amanda and naps frequently with Chloe. He loves his scratch pads and mouse toys and the happiest boy.

Boo has been my best friend since I got him. He never lets me go to the bathroom alone, and always greets me when I get home from work. He is prompt to alert us when it is meal times, and pretends he is not afraid of his dog cousins. He is terrified of thunder and loud noises which unfortunately is cause of some of his health issues.

Boo has had bladder issues since 2021, which is common for male cats. He had a full block last week which is life threatening and will be prone to reoccurrences. He had a painful recovery and is still not fully able to completely empty his bladder. If he undergoes a perineal urethrostomy , he will be able to have a positive prognosis and prevent these painful urinary blocks from happening.

His hospitalization plus subsequent visits back to the vet have cost over $5,000 just this week. I applied for additional credit and was denied. The surgery is quoted between 6-8k. I simply do not have the funds but do not want him to suffer needlessly because of that.
