About this campaign
Boogie came to us from a backyard breeder. He had been taken from his mom at only one month old and was being given adult dog food. We felt like we could give him a good life and he would have a chance at being a happy family pet for many years to come. His name was initially Dexter but the nickname Boogie stuck very quickly so we decided to change his name officially to Boogie!
Boogie is a super silly puppy. He enjoys playing with his fur-brother Shadow but his favorite hobby is napping! He has a best friend named Squish the pug! He enjoys his feline brothers and sisters and can often be found curled up with one OR chasing one! He loves all the members of our household, human or furry!
Boogie is super smart. He has learned several tricks along the way including sit, paw, lay down, and the newest “stretch “. He is afraid of the vacuum and loves to bark anytime mom gets that out! He has built a super close and special bond with his mom and follows her every where she goes. He is very friend and has never met a stranger!
Boogie has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Upon having a orthopedic surgery consult at Triangle Referral Vet Hospital. We have decided to move forward with a femoral head osteotomy. This would create a false joint at the hip and relieve any pain associated with the dysplasia. It is also a more cost effective alternative to complete hip replacement. He can live a long happy healthy life!
We have a family of five so coming up with $3,600 spur of the moment is no easy feat. I’ve been on disability for 2 years so income is limited as it is for many families.
